What this website is

This website is a registration form for a religious observance organised by Shri Sanmarg Parivar, a Jain religious trust, at Borivali, Mumbai.

Nothing is sold here. There is no product, no service, no ticket, no admission charge and no fee. Participation in the Upadhan is free. The only payment collected is a refundable commitment deposit of ₹500, governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Eligibility

The aradhak must be willing and physically able to observe the Upadhan Tap for its full duration, and to abide by the Niyamavali — the 14 rules set out on the registration form, which you must read and expand before you can submit.

A child’s form must be filled in by a parent or guardian.

The information you give must be true. A form containing false information may be rejected or cancelled at any time, including after acceptance.

Acceptance is at the trust’s discretion

Submitting a form and paying the deposit does not register you. It asks to be registered.

The trust reviews every form and may accept or decline it at its sole discretion — including for reasons of capacity, of health, or because the Niyamavali cannot be observed. A form that is not accepted is refunded in full, before the Upadhan begins.

A form is not even considered until the ₹500 deposit has been paid.

The Sammati Patra

When a form is accepted, the trust issues a Sammati Patra (letter of consent) to the aradhak.

ONLY HOLDERS OF A SAMMATI PATRA ARE ADMITTED TO THE UPADHAN. A submitted form, a paid deposit and a registration number are not admission. Please do not travel to Borivali without one.

The Niyamavali

The 14 rules of the Niyamavali are set out in full on the registration form, and you must open and read them before you can submit. They form part of these terms.

An aradhak who does not observe them may be asked to leave the Upadhan.

Conduct during the Upadhan

The Upadhan is conducted under the guidance of the Acharya Bhagwant and the instructions of the organising volunteers. Their decisions on the conduct of the observance are final.

The trust may cancel a registration, at any time and including during the Upadhan, where an aradhak’s conduct or health makes it necessary.

The deposit

A refundable commitment deposit of ₹500 is payable with the form. It is not a fee, not a ticket price and not a donation; it is not taken as income.

The deposit is not transferable to another person.

Payment

Payment is taken by Razorpay. The trust never sees or stores your card, UPI or bank credentials.

A form whose payment fails or is left incomplete is not registered. You may return to it and pay again.

Limitation of liability

The trust organises a religious observance in good faith and without charge. It is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from a registration, a rejection, a cancellation, a delay in a refund caused by a bank or the payment gateway, or from the unavailability of this website.

An aradhak participates in the Upadhan of their own free will and takes responsibility for their own health. Please tell the trust honestly about any physical problem in the field provided; the arrangements made for you depend on it.

In any event, the total liability of the trust to any aradhak in connection with this website is limited to the ₹500 deposit paid.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes

The trust may amend these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
